Was having a conversation with my son this afternoon and asked him what he would do if his wife was aggressive enough to grab his shirt spoiling for a fight.

He looked me straight in the eye and says, I could never be married to someone like that.
I acted like he actually could marry without knowing what the woman is capable of. He asks me what they will be doing during courtship that will stop him from finding out what her true disposition is.

I am proud of my son and his level of maturity even though he is a teenager.
So I decided to tell him one or two things to watch out for during courtship. Because some women can hide their negative energy until after marriage. You all already know what I think about testing people😎
Watch how she treats people around her. Does she respect her parents, older aunties and uncles? How does she relate with her siblings? Is she constantly complaining about how people treat her? She might be the real problem.
When both of you disagree on issues, how does she present her case? Is she respectful? Does she scream, throw tantrums or insist on things always happening her way?

When she hurts you, does she apologise or does she just allow time to pass and then carry on like nothing amiss.
Is she one of those that things disputes can be settled with a kiss or making out? Is she emotionally manipulative? Using tears or some other negative emotion to get her way? Is she kind? Does she give? Does she forgive and forget?
Can you manage her when she is upset with others? When you ask her to stop, does she stop without demanding to know why first? How does she relate to beggars, waiters, janitors and other lowly workmen?
We both agreed that if during courtship people spent more time getting to know the real person and less time on sexual intimacy, there would be less conflicts in marriage. We also agreed that circumstances during marriage can bring out things in people that you never expected.
So for a Christian, after all checks are done, pray and continue to follow the leading of the scriptures in marriage. When a man loves his wife like Christ loved his followers, his wife would respect him like Christ followers did.
