here's my ygo makeup headcanons/ pretending that it's happening in the modern world not the mid-90s bc makeup has evolved a lot since then and is a lot more fun now:
Yugi does puppy eyeliner, makes his big round eyes look even bigger and rounder, and mostly uses smoky browns and pencil liner. He's heavy-handed when doing the bottom of his eyes and ends up looking more emo than this, but his eyes are already so big it doesn't really matter
Yami is an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who's been let loose in a Sephora what do you think is going to happen. ALWAYS double winged, lots of gold eyeshadow and bronzer, might throw in some blue-green or false lashes when he's feeling frisky. Goes through SO much eyeliner and mascara
more Yami. While Yugi prefers pencil eyeliner and usually sticks to sheer nude shimmers on his eyes as is usual of Japanese-style makeup, Yami prefers gel eyeliners and heavily pigmented shadows (and will import them at great cost, much to Yugi's dismay)
Joey/Jonouchi does not wear makeup but he's always very impressed by Yami's and lowkey wants to try it. He does not realise that Yugi also wears makeup. The kind of guy who thinks a subtle wing, wispy false lashes, brown eyeshadow, bb cream and nude lipstick is "no makeup".
TĂ©a/Anzu wears just regular non-threatening "barely there" makeup which is actually a lot of work. Also very impressed by Yami's makeup skills, and wishes Yugi would ease up just the little eye on the under-eye emo smokeout he's got going on.
Honda/Tristan does not wear makeup, doesn't see the point in makeup, and basically doesn't notice it unless one's going out of their way to make it super bold (eg blue eyeshadow and red lipstick). Even then he's just like "eh they're wearing makeup I guess".
Seto Kaiba goes for the insomniac idol look, with heavy shadow under the eyes and not much else but a little bit of contouring to bring out his natural sharp features
Ryou Bakura goes for a similar vibe as Seto, but because his face is a lot softer he ends up looking just plain tired instead of sultry.
Yami however goes the full goth rockstar smoky eye, huge wings and big lashes, especially on the bottom.

Pegasus surprisingly does not wear makeup but he DOES have the most luxurious skincare and haircare routines the world has ever known, which is just as well because he flatirons his hair like every 6 hours
Marik HIGHLIGHTED FOR THE GODS. Wears p similar makeup to Yami's but purely in nudes, gold & the occasional pop of lavender. I can absolutely not find any eyeliner that is like his that isn't cosplay but assume it's there in these pics. Yami the same, maybe a bit smudged bc well.
Ishizu not as heavily highlighted as Marik but wears fairly similar makeup otherwise, just toned down and smoked out, and without his extreme graphic liner (tho still quite bold!!!)
Rishid/Odion has a fucking sick face tattoo AND wears similar amazing dramatic eyeliner as Marik like why would you need anything else

Duke Devlin/Ryuji Otogi wears pretty minimal makeup, just a smokey guyliner and Pierrot tear under his left eye. I cannot find any images of this that aren't cosplay again oh well the point is he looks like an emo rockstar fuckboy Plus Clown
