Remember that time Brad Buxer used "Hard Times" for Ice Cap Zone in Sonic 3, even though the song belonged to former Jetzons vocalist Bruce Connole? Same.

Back then it was easy to get away with stuff like that. The internet changed that completely.

Literally, imagine your former bandmate using your song in a game and getting paid for it, and it all only comes out 15+ years after the fact because your bands past recordings including unreleased songs get released. And then a bunch of Sonic fans make the connection to it due
to the Keyboard player of your band having worked on the Sonic 3 project with MJ (and with him in general), and connected the dots back to your old band. Someone wasn't getting PAID. That has to suck. Perhaps that is one of the many issues preventing the re-release of Sonic 3,
because, really, look at the dates of when this all started to be discovered and when Sonic 3 suddenly became a no-go game. A lot of stuff came out after MJ died due to fans. Anda dude who worked on the project claiming that SEGA "owe a lot of money to people" or some shit. Damn.
Man, Sonic is a MESS.
Kinda funny that Buxer in a recent interview (2019.05.10) was all happy to talk about MJ and Stranger in Moscow and how it was included in Sonic 3, but didn't say a fucking thing about Hard Times. 46:04 in the following video:
Sonic.
Also, just bought one of those 250 limited edition single run "The Jetzons - Hard Times" 7" Vinyls from @FervorRecords and @hellomerch.

I'm certain the artwork was fully licensed from SEGA... totally... 100%... 👀👀👀
But yeah, "Hard Times" belongs to Jetzons vocalist Bruce Connole and NOT Brad Buxer. That is a fact.
Remember kids, you heard it here first!
Just for legal reasons: The above statements are all alleged, and I am making no outright claims. Just speculation based upon basic independent research.
