Best Exercise You Can Do For Your Knees:
Hindu Squats
The myth about "dont let your knees go past your toes" is complete bullshit. Like radically making you weaker and less athletic bullshit
Knees are strongest when trained through full hamstring to calf ROM

The myth of "dont let the knees past the toes" comes from very very badly understood 1978 biomechanics studies from Duke that showed that shearing force on the knee was reduced during squatting if the shin was kept vertical
This was extrapolated into the false idea...

that this is "good" for the knees. Its NOT
Whats completely overlooked is this:
A) massively increases the stress on the low back by 1000%
B)your knees are NOT meant to be kept vertical at all, as doing so runs completely counter to natural joint action & athletic movement

C)As you go lower into a squat and your knees go past the toes, stress on the knees is reduced
Teaching people to squat with zero knee bend is a fucking travesty of athletic biomechanics
-The Chinese know this, and their Olympic lifters are all taught to squat KNEES first

Someone better tell Usain Bolt not to bend his knees so much
A bullshit study done by geeks in 1978 said your knees bending is BAD for you

How funny, if you watch athletes, you might think explosive knee power and the knees moving beyond the toes is like...common or something
Almost like we evolved to do this
