Thread on why Norwich will be fine if relegated and how we'll likely line up next season (long thread)
Unless we manage to create a little miracle and stay up, chances are, we'll be selling quite a few of our players, this is not necessarily a bad thing as this is Norwich's philosophy of being a self financed club and as I'll explain, thanks to Webber, it won't be a huge loss
The likely players to be sold would be:
Max Aarons (RB)
Jamal Lewis (LB)
Ben Godfrey (CB)
Todd Cantwell (AM)
Emi Buendia (AM)
All a large amount of young talent, likely to fetch over £100 million even in this uncertain market

I wan't to reiterate the fact that we don't necessarily need to sell our players, we're in a good financial situation, and even with COVID's impact, and even relegation, we won't be forced to sell for cheap
However, selling is likely part of our plan and would be beneficial going forward, it would allow us to continue investing into our academy and improve facilities, which will help us in the long term, but also to invest in any quality players for the short term - medium term
In terms of replacements for our sold players, we likely already have them, with our full backs likely gone, we have Sam Byram whose been a phenomenal player for us this season, and of course, young Sam McCallum, who'll join us next season, this sorts our full backs out
CB's: Weirdly, this will be our most stacked position, with Ben Godfrey likely being sold, we have many options, one being Belgium U21 defender Rocky Bushiri, who looked very promising and Akin Famewo, another promising Academy Graduate, along with our other central defenders
DM: Although we probably won't have any departures in this position, we have bought Melvin Sitti in the January transfer window, a starter for French Second Tier side Sochaux, the 4-2-3-1 formation we play needs a high quality DM, the 20 year old could be the answer
DM: We also have another promising young star in Charlie Gilmour, the 21 year old came through the Arsenal Academy and made a couple first team appearances, he's impressed on his loan spell at Telstar, in the middle of the park, we will be much stronger next season
LM: With Todd Cantwell likely moving on, it gives room for another young star to stake their claim, young Josh Martin, the 18 year old has impressed immensely, climbing up the ranks since joining from Arsenal, he trains with the first team and has made the bench in the fa cup
LM: On a quick note here, I don't expect him to be a starter next season, Cantwell played second fiddle to Hernandez on his debut season and I expect Martin to do the same, it gives him first team experience and time to develop
CAM: A position with no permanent player likely leaving, however, Stieperman has been underwhelming this season and is a position that needs more quality, luckily Webber has thought of that and has brought in an extra signing of Danel Sinani on a free transfer
CAM: he comes from Luxembourg first tier side Dudelange F91, although certainly not the most competitive league, he has shone there as well as the Europa league, prolifically scoring and assisting as well as 2 goals against Sevilla, I back him to make a significant impact
RM: Arguably he'll be our most missed departure, Buendia, our best player and one that will be a hard one to replace, we haven't yet signed a player of his stature to replace him, although we have alternatives in his position such as Lukas Rupp, they're not near his quality
RM: Out of all our likely departures, it's astounding that this will be our only needed replacement in the summer, which just shows how good our recruitment is, considering how many departures we will have, however, I have found a near perfect replacement for him
RM: Martín Merquelanz Castellanos, on loan from Real Sociedad, to Mirandes in La Liga 2, has scored 11 and assisted 6 in 26 games, hes 24 years old, he has a MV of £720,000, we could pick him up for around the same price we payed for Emi (£1.35m)
ST: Ill be surprised if Pukki leaves, however, we have 3 very good strikers in Pukki, Drmic and Idah, Adam Idah looks to be a prolific young striker, Drmic being bundesliga and world cup proven as well as Pukkis record, we're more than fine in this position
With all those assumptions done, ill analyse the transfers and how much we have spent.
If we get relegated,we go into the championship with the same manager, most of the same players and alot more money, with significant improvements in areas, so immediate promotion seems likely

In terms of how much we would have spent (A couple assumptions made):
Sam McCallum: £3M
Sam Byram: £750,000
Charlie Gilmour: Free
Rocky Bushiri: £900,000
Danel Sinani: Free
Melvin Sitti: >£300,000
Josh Martin: Academy
Martin Castellanos (Prediction) : £1.35m
Overall: £6.3m
Sam McCallum: £3M
Sam Byram: £750,000
Charlie Gilmour: Free
Rocky Bushiri: £900,000
Danel Sinani: Free
Melvin Sitti: >£300,000
Josh Martin: Academy
Martin Castellanos (Prediction) : £1.35m
Overall: £6.3m
For a renovated squad, that costs very little, most of the fees are also rumoured or not noted so I've went with a higher fee, so the overall cost will likely be lower, its also basing the assumption and cost of Martin Castellanos
In terms of our lineup, I think it'll be like this, some positions are interchangeable, we may not have Castellanos, rather another signing, also players like Gilmour and Hanley aren't there due to depth, as you can see though, it's a very strong squad
Overall, if we are relegated, we're in a very good position, we're not under financial stress, we have replacements for every player we're meaning to sell bar Buendia, and we'll have a lot of money to spend on the club and a replacement like Castellanos who'll likely cost little
