People respond to certain people better than others.

Why is that?

Let's take a look at what makes a good memorable interaction with someone

[THREAD]
People want to know what to do.

"You don't know this?"

VS

"Have you tried this?"

Both will lead to you sharing your knowledge but one will help the other person trust you
People want to feel good about themselves.

If they mess up, they want to hear it's ok or that it's a common mistake

If they win they want to be celebrated

By getting at their level, high or low, you can connect with them
Smiling.

Something very simple but practicing smiling while talking to someone will make them feel good while interacting with you

Don't over do it, just try to do it naturally
Remember their name.

People LOVE when you remember their name

and DREAD you forgetting them

If you see someone again, a simple "Hey [NAME], how's [FACT THEY MENTIONED BEFORE] going?"

That sentence can have the person on your side in a second
Let them talk about themselves.

Open ended questions that let people show you who they are will make them eager to talk to you

"What did you think about [INTEREST THEY SHARE]"

or

"Did you do anything interesting this weekend?"
Assure them they are important.

Even the smallest gear is VITAL in a clock.

Make them aware you understand they are valuable.

An easy way is to let them know you're day is better because of them.

"I'm glad I got a chance to talk to you because..."
And last but the MOST IMPORTANT PIECE

Do it genuinely

If you pretend to care, this will feel like work and you won't be successful

You have to be genuinely interested in the person and soon this will be normal to you and all your interactions will improve!
