In April, I made Parker a Patrick Mahomes gift. 7 cards framed on a board. That gift, led to a free box of cards from @PaniniAmerica. That box landed several huge hits. Those autographed cards started Parker’s financial quest to get a Mahomes rookie card.
Parker sold his first auto card. Wrote a thank you note. His journey was started. He had become a #HobbyFamily member.
A few more sales later and some amazing people in the hobby, j connected with @MRJIMMYBRO who hooked Parker up and connected him with some amazing folks. @kwonnacott @riemersma_63 @sffan25 @biggs_baseball
Cards started flooding in. Parker quickly grew his fund for his grail card. Parker has been a big bro through foster care the last 14 months and decided that he wanted other kids to get cards as well...
Quickly the dining room turned into the “office” where “packs” of random and mixed cards went to kids for free. Ben from @midwestboxbreak heard about it and teamed up with Parker.
Cards started shipping out nationwide to kids! From California to New York, Minnesota to Texas. Cards were and still are going everywhere!
More and more free packs have been going out to kids. The post office absolutely loves us! Parker hadn’t been able to find any Bowman 2020 product anywhere and that led us to @CashCultura. He was able to get him a blaster at cost!
Parker continued working towards his goal, shipping out free packs to kids, and also doing Random Acts of Kindness in the card hobby. I’ve come home to cards sorted in donation piles!
Parker finally hit his goal and got a sweet deal from @SharpEdgesCards and boy did they hook him up! @midwestboxbreak got him in his 1st break and he hit an auto card and was blessed to receive a #LiSiGi chip too!!!
Parker had hit Jasson Dominguez in his Bowman box. He nominated the son of @biggs_baseball in the giveaway and he was selected! In the meantime, @CashCultura selected Parker to win a pack of NBA Mosiac. He read Parker’s thank you live in his video.
Parker could easily stop. He won’t though. He’s got a bunch more packs going out tomorrow!
Why is this important? One small act of kindness that started with a small box of cards has led to a grail card, new connections with amazing people all over the country, amazing acts of kindness and smiles being spread across the country.
We can keep this up! I challenge everyone to do something for someone else. It could be just checking in on them. It could be a telephone call! But let’s keep spreading this wave of positivity! Look at what it’s doing in the #HobbyFamily
