I was a keen observer of the Spurs game last night, firstly as fan, but also from an #FPL perspective. Both West Ham & Spurs have decent fixtures from GW33 which is when I plan to use the wildcard so I was keeping an eye on a few players. Here are some thoughts:
West Ham started brightly, but we dominated the game for the last hour or so in what was ultimately a routine win. Having said that, there wasn't an abundance of chances and they had a few of their own. It's difficult to see Spurs blowing away teams over the remaining weeks.
Most of our chances fell to Kane who put in an improved performance with 6 shots for an xG of 1.74. He looked sharper and fitter, best demonstrated by the run and finish for his goal. Nonetheless, not one I am considering for WC as there are other, cheaper strikers available
Son played noticeably wide and was often stuck out on the left wing. Think this due to the lopsided system with Aurier playing high on the right side and Davies tucking in as a 3rd centre back during attacking play. Therefore, Son is required to provide the width on the left.
This resulted in him having zero shots (
) and owners (myself included) can probably count themselves lucky to receive 6 points. Yes he had the goal disallowed, but unless there is a significant change in next week's game against Sheffield Utd, I'll be avoiding on WC

Dele and Lucas lined up in the other two attacking roles and both had their moments. However, I'm expecting rotation here with a number of players who can fill those roles (Lamela, Bergwijn, Lo Celso etc) so no other attackers are worth considering.
Back to Aurier - he is an absolute liability and I have no idea why Jose is building our whole system to accommodate him. However, it's happening and it's good news for Aurier as an FPL prospect. He's essentially playing right wing for a Mourinho defence and he already has 1g 7a
Therefore, I will be monitoring him in GW32 as an option for my WC. Jose has already stated that he has no other options at RB so his place should be very secure at 4.9mil. Just be prepared for random red cards and conceding of penalties!
Onto West Ham and there are only two players that I am really looking at now. Firstly, Fabianksi who is still a top keeper and surely we can expect plenty of saves from him over the remaining games. If they can find a couple of clean sheets, there should be some good hauls.
Bowen (6.4m) was the one to catch my eye and he could be a nice differential at 0.1% ownership. He hit the post with a good chance and was certainly West Ham's most dangerous player. Clearly has an eye for goal and picked up some good positions - I'm considering him as a 4th mid
Summary:
- Kane sharper, but too expensive
- Son stuck on left wing
- Avoid other Spurs attackers
- Aurier a strong secure option who plays very high
- Fabianski a solid keeper choice for run-in
- Bowen has potential as a pick
