Some comedians need to be reminded that women are human beings. They live in a damaged, juvenile, man-baby echo chamber of male supremacy where their sexual crimes, hatred of women and misogyny are punchlines and calling them out is the only free speech they can’t get behind.

Misogyny and woman hating has been present in comedy, on stage and off, since I started in the early 90’s. When our industry, from agencies to management to bookers to comedians, is complicit in enabling a culture of rape, sexual predation and harassment, we need to tear it down.

One thing I’m quite sure of is women have answers. We need to listen and actively work to transform ourselves, our community and our work places. #BelieveWomen
