...fail to catechize, fail to evangelize, make our church buildings bland and ugly, never preach on hell, shut down our parishes in obedience to the State, give us irreverent liturgies, and generally reside over one of the most dramatic declines in the Church’s history. (2/4)
And now, when we ask for the bishops’ leadership in resisting *literal* attacks on our faith, +Barron punts everything to the laity, reducing our desperate pleas for leadership to “rather taunting remarks.” (3/4)
Your Excellency: If you can’t be bothered to lead the laity, and you’re running the Church into the ground, tell me, what the hell are the bishops actually good for? (4/4)
