Do you realise the amount of planning, thinking and coordination it requires to pull of such huge fraud over such a period of time while also maintaining a veneer of legitimacy to be able to amass and retain such a huge social media following!?
If only these guys had channeled their gifts into something legal instead of defrauding individuals I'm sure we would be talking about one of the most successful African business minds in a few years time. Unfortunately they took the wrong path of short term gain.
Adopting long term thinking is one of the most important decisions one can make as a young person. Avoiding the quick and easy route makes sense in the long term and even though it seems obvious in hindsight it's never that clear in the moment.
Choosing to eschew the flashy and glitzy appeal of easy money and short term gains in favour of consistent toil and sometimes seemingly thankless tasks with little recognition and regular discomfort is by no means easy. Cheers to all the real hustlers trying to make it work.
Legitimate and honourable labour is always the way to go. I hope this is a cautionary tale for those still in the valley of decision.
