in all seriousness, pray for abby johnson

to say that watching the video (the whole thing) was difficult is an understatement. and unfortunately, she's not the only one who holds these views as you can see from some of the responses to the video she posted.
it's honestly mind-boggling to think that someone could be so okay with police being "extra careful" around their OWN SON because of "statistics"
it's even more mind-boggling to even imagine the root cause of the disproportionate prison population in the US to "absent fathers"..
yeah, the home is the place that needs a lot of healing right now. but don't ignore the underlying issues that leave many of our black brothers and sisters' homes systemically discriminated against, marginalized, downright neglected at times..
we shouldn't be okay with police officers acting on "statistics." bc if we only see each other as statistics, we are denying our very dignity as human beings created in the image and likeness of God.
there's a lot more i could say but then i'd get nasty. but seriously, pray for her, her family, and this country as a whole.

Conversions of heart is what we need. But we need to be bold in speaking out against blatant injustices that's only dividing us more and more.
