The worlds population is around 8 billion. Close to 1 billion of which are starving. Yet we are growing enough food to feed the 70 billion farm animals that we kill and consume a year.
The land used to grow this grain for farm animals could be used to grow food for human consumption.
We take food (soy, grain, corn) from the poorest countries in the world and we feed that food to cows, chickens, pigs all so we can eat burgers.
If we ate plants directly ourselves instead of growing them to feed the 70 billion farm animals we consume a year. We could completely reverse the biggest mass extinction event that’s currently taking place by returning 76% of current farmland to nature.
We are destroying the natural world.
