So in December, Liam finally, years, after signing with his record label released his debut album. He didn’t seem that excited about it or even try to promo it much. It was met with rapturous universal disacclaim from critics and the ppl on this very bird app. #LP1SP
In the weeks that followed, the media & a certain large fandom did everything they could to ruin his image & twist his words. He was always the least popular 1d, & since STD ppl have dismissed him musicly. but the campaign to make him a villain really ramped endlessly. #LP1SP
And I know stan twitter is vicious & clowns on everyone from time to time but basically it’s really gotten to an extreme amount how much people love to be cruel to him for fun and rts. #LP1SP

And I’m not even even saying he’s not a dumbass and never did anything wrong in his life, or that music is above criticism but honestly a good 90% of the shit that gets spread about him is fake or bad faith interpretations. #LP1SP
British tabloids are notoriously terrible and set out to ruin people’s lives but when it’s about Liam I guess everything is to be believed. Even when he opens up about his difficulties he gets headlines like this. Which??? #LP1SP

I guess I just want to acknowledge that when your first album comes out is supposed to be joyful experience and that it all became such a downward spiral nightmare it just sucks. #LP1SP
What kills me especially is that so many of the bonus tracks are better than the songs actually on the album, why was it like that, what dumbass at the label

I’d really like to see actual discussion of his mental state and what has gone wrong with his career, which has been so obviously mismanaged. Why was he pushed to release an album with such subpar material it almost seems like it was just a contractual obligation.

You’re wondering why his career has been so mismanaged part of it is that those guys obviously have no clue but he stays with them because they’re friends which is nice but really continues to ruin him. #LP1SP
I think back to Gaga during Artpop, Xtina during bionic. and no I’m not comparing either artist to him I know they are legends and way superior blah blah blah. But situation with the albums themselves, just the reaction to how everyone turned on them, nonstop it was hell #LP1SP

Liam has done nothing this year except contribute to great causes and put out a new song that is not ~all about sex~, apologized, & said he’d try to educate himself for the song ppl did find offensive & still ppl won’t leave him alone and stop spreading shit about him. #LP1SP
