I think if we’re talking about the “church” as a group of people then yes we as a people of God do need to have conversations about everything pertaining to life. I just don’t think ALL conversations are suitable for a Sunday service, where your demographic is vast. https://twitter.com/ging_cascas/status/1278283396532375553
I think that one of the most IMPORTANT things to foster in the “church” is bridging gaps between older and younger church goers/ mentorship.

When you know you have someone in your church who is slightly older than you that you trust, your experience will be different.
We need to have more Paul and Timothy type relationships where you can hit up that older man/woman in your church and say, “Yo, I’m dealing with xyz, how do you think I should go about it?”

That’s what we need.
Because really and truly it’s difficult to delve into a conversation about pornography, struggles with masturbation, sex toys and the like when you have six year olds in the congregation on a Sunday.

But imagine if you had an older man/woman in the church you could confide in?
That’s what we need to encourage. We need to encourage better bonds between younger and older demongraphics in the church so that fellowship becomes truly relational and people feel like they can be vulnerable.
