My kids are mixed Jewish/Nigerian. Their heritage is diverse and complex. We've always taught them that colour doesn't matter much. And now the state is going to teach them the opposite. The new racist orthodoxy that race is everything...
They already started filling my 7 year old son's head with crap, teaching him that "in the past, your parents wouldn't have been able to marry". Which is basically bullshit, unless we had happened to live in the Deep South or South Africa...
We need a new anti-racism movement that can oppose this brainwashing, and leave kids to make friends across racial lines without stigma
