Let me be clear- for MONTHS a lot of us here in KY have been told who to vote for by national Dems. We have been berated. Called idiot hillbillies. Finger wagged. So- we pushed back. And made a race out of it. It was a helluva ride. We united behind a candidate who inspires. 1/4
After a nerve wracking week of waiting for results we fell short. We need some time. The @AmyMcGrathKY camp needs to ask themselves some hard questions. THEY need to get to work in reachin out to grassroots. That ain’t my job. Want the same energy? Earn it. 2/4
Also, @KyDems need to throw the statement released by Ben Self in the trash. Show some respect. Your cash cow won. But y’all got some work to do too. I am unrepentant. As always. And I’m tired of being told what to do. Back off. Reach out. LISTEN. 3/4
I don’t need my head patted. I need a sincere showing that y’all give a damn about more than a ton of cash and fat checks to consultants. People are hurting- in real life. Not political life. And they are tired of the nonsense too. 4/4
