I think this is a useful thread? There is value in separating one's legitimate anger over the actions of an organisation from individual employees. I would not like to be seen as a proxy for my own employer, for instance, whose opinions I often disagree with and am often angry at https://twitter.com/richierocks/status/1278725324960870401
I suppose my thought is that in regards to both the immediate matter, and other situations (e.g. JK Rowling) there is a special obligation on allies (*not* the victims) to take care in how one expresses support for the harmed party.
As regards JKR, I think a lot of the angry commentary from trans allies who have nothing at stake actually made things worse for us by giving the GC crowd the opportunity to pretend to be the victim
I'm still furious over about DC's actions, but I also think we as a community need to take care in how we express that anger?
(I don't know, I don't have strong feelings here)

(I guess I'm just thinking about how pissed off I was - and am - at my own ostensible allies, when the JKR thing dropped, that *I* had to be the one asking them to dial it way the fuck down. That shouldn't have been my job)
