I’m gonna be real with y’all for a second. A lot of Swifties who have met Taylor like to say “don’t worry, your time will come” & other encouragements, but honestly it probably won’t. US Swifties tend to forget how large the fandom is, and how many international Swifties there—
are who will never even get to see Taylor in concert. The sentiment is sweet but also naïve since only a very very small percentage of people get to meet her. And that small percentage is even more skewed in favor of certain privileged fans. Fans who live in countries Taylor
visits, fans who can afford to go to her concerts for a chance at a meet & greet or to fly to attend a secret session if chosen. Fans who can build a popular online presence (which, if we’re being honest, tends to favor English speaking white Swifties) to catch the attention of
Taylor or TN. And on top of all of this, Taylor meets probably what? A thousand Swifties per era? Out of at least a million devoted fans, if we go off of TN’s follow amount. And even more so, a lot of fans who have met Taylor have actually met her multiple times, further
narrowing down the number of people who have actually been able to meet her. And I’m not saying all of this to discourage fans who dream of meeting her, I just want to point out how even being able to THINK about possibly having a chance to meet her is a privilege that a large
portion of Swifties will never have. It is not even a feasible possibility for most. So honestly don’t ever feel alone because you haven’t met or will never meet her because over at least 80% of Swifties are in the same boat as you and feel the same way. And don’t ever feel like
you’re less of a fan for not having met her either because you will never be less of a fan for that.
