This makes me feel deeply uncomfortable, but would appreciate others’ views (feel free to DM if you’d prefer)
Calling coronavirus a “sideshow” when in the UK alone hundreds of families and friends are losing loved ones to the pandemic every day seems incredibly tone deaf 1/3 https://twitter.com/shahrarali/status/1279013242329796609

Additionally the sole concern here seems to be climate change. Of course that’s intrinsic to our party, but we’ve developed our reputation as a party for social justice so much in recent years, which is key to fighting not only the climate crisis but social inequality too. 2/3
Making us a single-issue party is neither effective, nor reflective of Green members. I’d also like to add that healthy criticism and debate around leadership is necessary for reflection and progression. But this seems incredibly harsh and ignores the huge progress we’ve made 3/3
To note, I wouldn’t usually come out and say something so negative about a candidate in an ongoing leadership election. But this really made me feel uncomfortable and worried. I also worry, after having watched part 2, about his non-commitment to #TransRights, calling ...
… the current situation re: women’s spaces a “nuanced debate”. I’m not trans, and would never speak in their place. But as someone who believes in equality for all, this frightens me.
