I’ve spent 2 days pleading with SREC to move convention to Montgomery Co. where we were INVITED. I understand it’s WORK, but it’s doable. We cannot let #TurnerTheTyrant and the dirty democrats win.

The Montgomery County Judge extended an offer to hold convention there. We didn’t CHOOSE to move convention locations, #TurnerTheTyrant made that decision for us. The PEOPLE overwhelmingly want an in-person convention.
Why are we wasting precious time hiring expensive lawyers to fight over use of the George Brown Convention Center when we know we are not welcome there?? Montgomery County has a great convention center and it’s only 39 miles from the George Brown center.
I understand there are rules and the RNC would have to give approval but that seems like it would be much easier than fighting over a venue in a city that has made it clear we are not welcome.
Montgomery County might not be able to accommodate meeting space for caucus breakaways BUT they do have 33 acres where we can erect event-type tents. Those would have flooring and ac, and could even accommodate the gala. I’ve been to several weddings in these types of tents.
All of this can be arranged in days and people including myself are willing to help! The distance from the original convention center in downtown Houston to the convention center in Montgomery County is only 39 miles.
39 miles is close enough that security can be easily moved, catering vendors can be rerouted, and people can keep their existing reservations in Houston because 39 miles isn’t too far a drive.
