With cases of Covid-19 exploding from ~30k per day to the over 60k now.
The main reason it was stuck between ~20k to 40k a day for a long time was most likely due to:
1) Inadequate TESTING
2) Inadequate test PROCESSING.

With Trump actively declaring he wants/ed to slow down testing + pushing republican governors (e.g Florida) to misattribute deaths/cases the rates continue to rise regardless of their efforts because testing ability is improving.However It's basically too little to late now.

The big problem as mentioned in the video is EXPONENTIAL GROWTH. The later you are to capture the cases the MORE missed cases there are - which in turn means even more cases will pop up AND for a longer period of time.

This is not even to mention the effects of pushing of anti-mask/science rhetoric, premature opens and inadequate support for testing/hospitals/PPE etc.

Also a huge issue going forward not ever being addressed will be complacency or fatigue. People will become increasingly fatigued with masks, lockdowns etc and this is human nature due to the effects of constant stress both psychological and physiological.

~70% of the US has been doing a fantastic job for the last 6 months in heeding professionals advice + w/ social distancing/masks but due to Trump/GOP/Fox News continually saying "Its just the flu"or "Masks restrict my rights + freedom" people will become frustrated/fatigued.

There was an easy solution at the very start of the outbreak (health experts, masks, lockdowns, testing, contact tracing).It's been 6 months without that easy solution DUE to Trump/Fox news & as a result over 130k have died & many million are suffering.

Do you see how it's democide now - or at the very least negligent homicide? The deaths and suffering were unnecessary and will continue to be unnecessary due to Trump, Fox News and the GOP.
