I think yesterday's dividend review is far better for current #footballindex users than the initial reaction suggests. Here's my thoughts on why:

1. They've taken a prudent approach - a finanically well managed FI is one where our money is safe, even if a 2nd Covid spike comes.
2b. They can use TOTM to explain to non-users how to 'win' their bet much more straightforwardly

2a. TOTM and GK divs are intuitive changes. Keepers being lumped in with Trent and Co. makes little sense to many new users.
3. I now expect they can spend a LOT on marketing campaigns, as their divident liabilty didn't rise that much (this is the key test of them now, in my view).

4. The above means platform growth, which is potentially a bigger determinent of our port growth than div increases
5. The value of our bets has gone up. Yes, not as much as hoped & unevenly. But as @FootballIndexLL has explained, much of the platform was already undervalued relative to divs, so we can still sustain growth (note: the biggest beneficiaries = the ones that dropped yesterday 🤷‍♂️)
