*THREAD ON POSSIBLE MISTAKES*

I have received a lot of encouragement today as I shared my severe rank fall.

I am truly grateful for all the love I am receiving 🙌🏼🙏🏻❤️

A lot of friends have requested what I think went wrong and I thought I'd pen it down as learnings!

POINT 1:

I went with 3 City rather than 3 MNU.

Not only that I went 1 def + 2 attack instead of 3 attack

And Fernandes was not one of them.

His EO, consistent cap returns were a main reason my rank dropped despite 3 MNU players (freefall)

POINT 2:

Going 3 City did not only not work as they were continuously rotated but because I mostly had KDB Captain & Mahrez VC which didn't work.

Managers chose nailed players in other teams over City and did not get swayed like me for players like Foden who weren't nailed
#FPL
POINT 3:

I got my benching wrong almost every week:

GW33: AWB 10 points

GW34: Aurier 9 points

GW35: Pulisic 9 points

While I do not regret this, having a good bench is not always a good thing especially since I've not had to sub any of them on even once!

#FPL
POINT 4:

By getting in players like Kane I favoured fixture over form which has always backfired but I keep falling for it.

Having said that, I got Vardy in and it paid off.

Form over fixture always - unless there is a manager change or new contract for the player.

POINT 5:

Defence is usually set and forget.

While I had planned to get Pope I fell for the Wolves CS potential and doubled up on them.

Not only did their CS's dry up, Pope went on a roll!

Stick to your plan and short term form should not sway us.

Point 6:

At the restart I chose to keep Mané over Salah because I had more money tied in him.

I fell for the 'value trap' where as better managers did not.

They stuck with the greedier player who is a better FPL option always!

#FPL
Point 7:

Managers stick with their picks - for ex: Auba as they wanted to Captain in GW32 which paid off.

These managers showed foresight and despite no returns in the previous GW's they stuck to their guns and it paid off handsomely.

#FPL
Point 8:

Unlimited transfers, DGW's and other short term phenomena's aren't necessarily a good reason to change your team

There was a reason I was doing well previously and I was ranked well.I should have kept faith rather than get swayed which cost me

My team pre-restart
It's been a great learning in my 2nd season and I look forward to doing better next season.

I am losing to good managers who are getting great scores which is nothing to be ashamed about.

I'm doing a -12 and fixing all my mistakes for the last 4 GW's! Let's have fun 🙌🏼👊🏼

That's it for now friends! Thankyou so much for reading and I would be extremely grateful for your 'Constructive Feedback' as I am here to learn!

If you would be kind enough to like and Retweet this, I will consider myself lucky! 🙌🏼🙏🏼❤️

All the best 🙌🏼
