Hello loves who would like some good news?
So after 12 weeks of chemo, 5 days of intensive radio therapy (was meant to be 5.5 weeks) bowel surgery and a loop ileostomy last week scans showed that @FitzieP has ‘no visible signs of cancer’ /1

If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know that last December they found a 4.5cm tumour that had gone through the wall of his bowel and spread to his lymph nodes. They also found nodules in his lungs. /2
When coronavirus was starting to really impact the hospitals at the end of March he was due to start 5.5 weeks of radio. Have a couple of months off treatment then surgery in September. BUT just before started we received a call /3
Due to the unknown impact of Covid they decided to ramp up his radio to 5 days intensive and bring his surgery forward to the week after his radiotherapy.
They told us they didn’t know what the impact on treatment was going to be so wanted to do what they could now /4

Last week he had his scans as he was 3 months post op and there is no visible signs of cancer.
Which is freaking awesome.
Not yet in remission but no further treatment required just keeping an eye on him. /5

We’re so grateful to the teams @gloshospitals in colorectal and oncology. The #NHS has been truly wonderful and we know how lucky we are that they moved his treatment up rather than risk delay. /6
This is why I’m raising funds for @CGHospCharity by selling handmade face coverings and why I will continue to raise awareness of @bowelcanceruk and the Cancer Crisis in the UK /7
You can help! Buy a mask when I share them and sign this petition http://chng.it/qSBs8nPNLH /8
And if you can support your local hospital and cancer charities they will be so appreciative.
Thank you for all your support these last 7 months (has it really only been 7 months)
