Science & astronomy behind month of #Ramayana that begins next week
Sun hs entered Dakshinayana.
Ayana means path/period.
So Dakshin (south) +ayana= Southern transit.
Ramayana means Ram + ayana= Shri Ram's path.

Thriprayar Shri Ram temple hs unique traditions like celebrating SETHU-BANDHANAM( building of the RAM SETU) by Shri Ram.
Proof that this is not a story bt part of our history!
The idol of this temple is abt 5000 yrs old,ws originally worshiped by Lord KRISHNA in Dwaraka.

I hv also added a video to help ppl understand DAKSHINAYANA--when Sun moves between tropic of Cancer and Capricorn.
To most of us this sounds confusing, bt ancient SANATANIS wr well versed with the impact of vacillating astronomical positions of Sun & planets on ur lives.

Every yr I'm in India during this period (July-Aug).
I get to spend abt 5 days with my parents bt despite that my mother never misses a single day of her Ramayana parayanam (chanting).

In July-Aug it rains like cats n dogs in south/south western parts of India/Deccan plateau.
Since last 2 yrs, this month hs also bn associated with extreme weather, cant 4get my bad experience last yr.
