I think one of the biggest overlooked points in diet wars Twitter is training. No denying people that eat a lot of carbs look good. No denying many low carb people look just as good. What does everyone who looks exceptional have in common? Training frequently.
When youâre training 4+ days a week, you care about your health. Youâre not going to eat shit like sticky buns out of a vending machine. Youâre not going to be drinking a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi either. People can easily be in superior shape on many diet variations.
When you train frequently, you build muscle. Muscle keeps your body running at high speed. You can eat more & have more flexibility in your diet the more muscle you have.
Calories donât matter nearly as much when youâre made of muscle.

That said, health should always be our #1 goal. I do truly believe that low carb is healthier, as well as much easier to maintain. You can train a little less and have the same results as someone that eats carbs. Many have reversed chronic conditions through keto & carnivore.
Iâve been carnivore for a long time now. Eggs, cheese and meat for one meal and just meat & a glass of homemade kefir for another is my typical day. However, I love ice cream. I eat it after dinner most days. Guess what happened to my body when I added it back in? Nothing.
I have a lot of muscle. So I can eat blue bell moo-lenium crunch when I feel like it. Is it good for me? No. Is the sugar damaging me internally? Yes. Is it damaging me that bad? Who knows. Do I care? No. I love ice cream. Other people eat pounds of sugar a week & stay alive.
Anyway, I love meat, eggs and dairy. I see no reason not to keep this as my staple diet when I look good, feel good and am in perfect health. If that ever changes, the first thing to go will be the Blue Bell. Fuck âgood carbsâ like fruit & veggies. Gimme some ice cream!
Moral of the story. TRAIN A LOT if you want to look like you should have been cast in the movie 300. There is no other way. Diet may be 80% of your weight but that 20% determines whether youâre lean and look like a beast or lean & look average.
