Historically Turkish Ottoman Empire was a spritual and religious leader of Indian Muslims not even the Mughals were rep of Islam of Indian Muslims. Mughals were merely rulers. For centuries the spiritual head of Indian Muslim were Turks till capliphate was abolished after 1 W war
The Muslim rulers of India were never Arab. Witt the exception of Sindh. The Slave Dynasty was Turkic. Even Mughals were of Turkic origin. Deccan dynasties of Adil Shah, Nizam Shah. Nizam of Hyderabad are all of Turkish origin. Hence large Indian Muslims are of Turkish descendant
Most Indian Muslims like Turkish people follow Sufi Hanafi Sunni order of sect of Islam. The culture of Sufism in India & the whirling dervishes comes from Turkey. The poetry & Urdu language comes from Turkey. Many Sufi saints are of Turkish origin. IM closer to Turks than Arab
If you visit Turkey you will see the architecture similar to north India. Old Galli & Mohalla of Old Delhi & Agra have striking similarity. Modern Turkish has changed but old Turkish has many words found in Urdu language. Most Indian Muslims forgot these links but Turks remember
When Bahadur Shah Zafar was arrested & charged of sedition @ Red fort by British the charges pressed against him were of having a grand design & alliance to connect with Ottoman Empire to overthrow British. It was lie because there was no such connection. Yet British saw the link
During First World when Britain fought against Ottoman Empire. More than 4 Lakh Indian Muslim soldiers fought on the side of Britain but many Indian Muslim soldiers had mutinied against Empire in support of Ottoman Turkey. When Ottoman Empire was facing a cash crush to build railways and infrastructure to Hejaz( Present day Mecca in Saudi Arabia) Indian Muslim women had donated their jewelry to the Ottoman King. Indian Muslims have not taught this history but Turks still remember it with gratitude
Indian Muslim are 90% Hanafi Sunni. Indian Muslim intelligentsia is not dominated by Hanafi Sunni. Majority of Sarkari M happen to be non Sunni & they got own agenda. They abuse Arab & Turks but say nothing against Khomeini. Their sectarian loyalties lie with Safavid Shia Iran
The reason Arabs are indifferent to plight of Indian Muslims is because they do not share cultural or sectarian affiliation. Indian Muslims are culturally closer to Turkey, Central Asia & even Iran than Arabs. That’s the main reason why Arabs have never spoken out in favor of IM
The only country and leader that has spoken out against the persecution of Indian Muslims, Delhi Riots, CAA & Kashmiri people is not an Arab but the great #Erdogan who has genuine love & concern for Indian Muslims because of our cultural and historical affiliation & brotherhood.
