Masks are important. It's been abundantly clear there are far too many Americans who cannot be relied upon to make the responsible decision to wear masks. I'm pretty confident that Husker football is not happening in the fall. I'm also doubtful about HS contact sports. 3/
That includes football, wrestling, and basketball. Alabama has a mask mandate. Nebraska is depending on Walmart, Target, Menard's, and SO many other corporations to do the work that the governor should do. ON TOP OF THAT, he's threatening to withhold relief $$. 4/

Frankly, it's not hard. If the CDC is right, then six weeks of 100% mask wearing could knock this almost all the way out. Not completely, but we'd be in much better shape. If they're wrong... you've been inconvenienced. 7/
It was lovely when people could claim we'd overreacted. That was clearly wrong. We've underreacted. Another shut down is looming unless we make responsible choices. I'll keep wearing my mask cause I want Husker sports in the fall. You should too. 8/
By and large, my tweets don't get enough eyes for me to worry about having to block anyone as I mentioned earlier, but just know I stand on the side of science. Even though the more we learn about #Covid_19 #coronavirus things change. That's science. /fin
