Thread:
Today, I want to be brave and share something a bit different - reality.
Because so so much on social media is depicted in the best and most perfectionist way possible, through posing, lighting, editing. We only show the photos we want the public to see.

It seldom shows how our faces or bodies are 99% of all time, in a relaxed and natural state. Acne, other skin issues, bags under the eyes, pores, cellulite, excess wobble... ALL completely normal, very common and absolutely nothing to be ashamed of -

though social media teaches us differently and makes it very hard to appreciate our own bodies just how they are. An actually very toxic image of how "beautiful" or "desirable" is supposed to look like.

With this post, I want to remind you that what you see online doesn't always depict reality and much is modified in one way or another. Of 200 photos I take, usually about 20 make it into the edit folder and maybe half of them will be posted.

That means it's heavily filtered out and only the most body/face-flattering pictures will be seen by you all. 90% will be deleted because my expression, body or pose isn't what I want everybody to see.

My body is imperfect in many ways and I could make a long list of things I dislike about myself, but I'm trying my best to accept, embrace and love my body with all it's unique features. And do you know why? Because our body is our home and we only have this one! ❤️

So be kind and accepting to yourself, because you are wonderful and stunning the way you are. You are one of a kind and thus invaluable 😉 And you're not alone!
