Just continuing the Selke palaver from yesterday, because I thought some folks might be curious: These are the isolated 5v5 shot impacts (per minute) for the five guys I mentioned here, and the three nominees, and also Philip Danault because reasons.

The number after each player is their 5v5 minutes this season; as is encouraging they all skew heavily towards the "good defensively" sort of territory. This is after accounting for context, though, and the contexts aren't very similar.
Most obviously, they have different quality-of-competitions, in particular Danault is really being fed to really good opposition. Nichushkin the only one of this nine to see below-average offensive comp.
Comp isn't the only context, though, it's not even the most important context. Quality of teammates matters more (note the scale change) and the range for this nine is huge. Danault in particular has ludicrous offensive help (hellllo, Brendan Gallagher).
(The axis limits were chosen to accommodate the bulk of the density of the league, not the extreme values, can you tell?)
