Just for done watching the 5 episodes from season 1

And I find myself at a hard indifference on the show, because while I'm happy to see autistics unapologetically being themselves it is quite apparent that this was filmed from a nonautistic perspective.

#LoveOnTheSpectrum
Like I explained to another person, it's like when a Black person is photographed for a magazine but it's shot by a nonBlack photographer.

We're happy to see the recognition but we also know how much better things can look when photographers know how to light for dark skin.
I was happy to see some Deaf, low vision, mute, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, & epilepsy rep.

There were only 2 autistics of colour out of the many participants

There relationship therapist was interesting & there was more screentime of the parents than I would have prefered.
I enjoy seeing people happy, & that no one tried to make them be anything other than themselves.

Their families were all supportive & didn't make them out to be a special case.

It's nice seeing actually autistic people just being who they are.
Also, IT WAS SO AFFIRMING!!

just to see people act & more & think similarly to myself & my friends đź’–đź’–
*move
I also think that it was really great at sparking some good conversations, gunna thread in my live tweets from while I was watching bellow.

I know that others had some great things to say as well, & you can find that when you follow the hashtag.

I would definitely watch a season 2, but I would hope that they would seek out autistic perspective & autistic professionals 👍🏾
