1. my heart feels lighter- i no longer get random waves of sadness, i do get an occasional feeling of emptiness but that’s normal as our hearts long for things that this dunya cannot give us
2. i have stopped swearing- i mostly heard swearing in songs, so once i’ve cut that off i’ve stopped swearing too. the words in music are so foul and you don’t even realise how much it affects our daily speech.
3. i am less distracted- my concentration levels have improved, before when i used to struggle with long tasks i can now do easily, i don’t feel frustrated and have a lot more patience
4. my heart feels softer- i used to think of myself as cold hearted but ever since i have stopped listening to music i find myself being more empathetic and reasonably emotional
5. i’m happier- every time i feel a bit low i don’t turn to music. this is what i used to do and it would make me feel worse and ‘in my feels’ Quran automatically makes you feel at peace. praying 2 rakat also helps. i also don’t overthink or take things too seriously anymore as-
that is the cause of shaydaan. no music= less company of the shaydaan
6. since i’ve stopped listening to music i’ve fixed my feed and now there’s nothing but islamic reminders etc when i open my phone. your mobile phone can be your ticket to Jannah or Jahanam. instead of letting shaydaan use it against you, use it for yourself in the hereafter.

it might be hard at first, but after a while you really realise how worth it it is. May Allah swt guide us all Ameen.
