#TheRiseOfSkywalker was trending earlier today so here is why I felt it was a great conclusion to the Saga.

[THREAD]

The movie itself could've been way better crafted. It had a rushed pacing, editing and plot-convenience writing, but managed to get a grip -
on the story it wanted to tell. It managed to be an emotionally exhilarating experience and a truly bittersweet ending to the Skywalker Saga.

A lot of people like to shit on it for the rushed filmmaking and plot convenience writing.
But what's important is the thematic depth and meaning is still apparent if u take the time to think about it.

Rey Palpatine died on Exegol. Ben Solo fulfilled his promise to his Grandfather that he would finish what Anakin started, -
which was to save the ones he loved from dying.

In turn fulfilling the glaring message in all of STAR WARS, as Rose says in TLJ, "We win by saving what we love," Kanan Jarrus saved his family, Anakin Skywalker saved his son -
and Ben Solo knew there was no coming back from all that he had done, but there was Rey, who still cared about him and never gave up on trying to bring Ben back. He knew, except for his parents, who were gone now, only Rey would forgive him for the deeds of Kylo Ren.
So when the last Skywalker rose from the depths of Exegol, he made a choice, a choice to be better, by saving the one person left who he had feelings for. Ben Solo transferred his life force in to her and she was reborn, a Skywalker.
She may have been a Palpatine by blood, but she was a Skywalker by heart.

Rey Skywalker had finally found the belonging she sought.
In ANH, Obi-Wan says, "If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." Once Luke, Leia and Ben became one with the Force, they transcended life itself, they became immortal.
The PT and OT are about the turn and redemption of Anakin Skywalker.

The ST is about the Legacy of Anakin Skywalker through Ben Solo and Rey Skywalker, who embodies and will carry on the Skywalker Legacy.
The Skywalker Saga will always be one of the most epic and thrilling stories in the history of cinema to me, even if all the movies aren't perfect.

The Saga came to an end. The story lives forever.
