I'm noticing a couple things if and when I actually get into respectful debate with the right. By and large they're white. That's a given Haha. When they're not, they have achieved some white level success by doing things the white way and getting lucky it worked out.
Ok, so when these discussions happen, the person genuinely doesnt understand all factors that affect systemic racial issues that are coming out and manifesting as violence. They see police in a positive light. For them, that's who they call when bad stuff happens.
They dont understand, it's a circle and cycle of oppression. They see a poor black person and say, get a job. Get educated. Etc. Its not so simple is it? The school is under funded. The jobs locally may be scarce. The jobs farther away are available but pay little.
The better jobs near them require higher education they never got and the locals have no hope in hell of ever getting. And that's before its known the applicant is black or brown. So, people try to get by. And police and legal criminalize alot of what they find to do to get ahead
Even just saying get a job or get educated is an example of white privilege as maligned a term as that is, because it is a privilege not to know what it's like to have to struggle in this way, up down and sideways, the world around you, against you.
