Government officials were quick to dismiss the number by calling it ‘categorically false’ but they didn’t provide any actual data. They simply said 13 people didn’t die in #Lethbridge by #overdose.

British Columbia reports monthly and responds to emerging trends with a sense of urgency. You know, responses that alert people of a bad batch and help determine strategic direction.
Here in #Alberta, quarterly statistics that are released months late provide very little opportunity for any potential lifesaving intervention.

Mr @jasonluan88, we will remind you that your key performance indicator (KPI) is lives lost to overdose. Hiding or delaying the release of that number doesn’t change that. We will also remind you that each number was somebody’s someone.
