It's wild to think we have an ongoing pandemic with no end in sight because one group of people hate science and hate being told what to do.
There are a lot of moving parts, but the foundation is basically "my civil rights are being violated" over a mask.
Not to mention the guy whose job it is to fix this said early on it wasn't his problem. Now they're trying to put out a 5 alarm blaze with water pistols.
9 times 5 is basically the essence of Whiteness - I can't get my way so I'm going to make everybody else's life hell. And here we are.
Also, the allergic reaction to responsibility/accountability. We don't even have to imagine the hell raised if the previous president let a plague overrun the country because they flipped out over a tan suit.
And it's sad because Mr. Grab Em by the Feline doesn't give a damn about them, yet they are willing to die for his cause. All because racism/sexism/homophobia/xenophobia is more powerful than common sense.
"I lost my factory job and my dear ol maw died from this made up disease! Oh wait, the niggers/gays are dying too?! Well that's great!"
Inferiority complexes manifest themselves in many ways, but scorched earth will always be the saddest, stupidest and most devastating. Most White folks hate the idea that someone could be better than them at anything.
So they'd rather cut off their own noses to spite their faces in the name of hurting everyone else. And this is supposed to be the supreme/master race? Amusing to your amigo.
It'd be funny if it weren't sad. Because like Toni Morrison said, if you take away this alleged racial superiority, who are you really? That's a reality most of these folks are avoiding like they should've avoided this plague.
This presidency is really White supremacy's final chance to prove just how "superior" they are and like every effort before (the confederacy, the nazis, the klan), they just show how inferior they are and deep down, how inferior to others they see themselves.
