couple weeks back as part of my BAME risk assessment it was identified I didn’t have the correct PPE available. Was it my fault that I wouldn’t wear a mask all day?It was painful and very tedious getting one on..I tried elastic bands, paper clips and bought some mask extenders1/3
Very kindly my line manager offered to reimburse cost of a mask and I could buy one online. However still struggling I contacted a friend in Scotland who has a clothing factory. Together we came up with a design which would not just be for #Sikh or #turban wearing people 2/3
But very practical and easy to use for all. Very comfortable for all day use and not difficult to put on. Works for those with a turban and a beard! So here it is our design on the market to be sold for everyone to use. Please share widely. https://www.sikhtreats.com/ 3/4
Great full to all those who put pressure on companies to get the risk assessments done. Every day going into work as been worrying with all those stats around how BAME are disproportionately affected by #covid 4/5
