Small things like “not speaking about your salary” prohibit you and other people to make informed choices when it comes to their pay, accepting new roles, negotiating, etc.

I truly love Payscale which is a site that takes into account your job title, where your job is located, your level @ the company, who you report to, how many people report to you & your current work performance standing & will let you know how much you should be making
Now with that information, you can go in & negotiate your salary when a company offers you a role. Based off of information & not only speaking to “your skills & resume”.
