Noah and the COVID Quarantine
A Thread:
I am impressed by the similarities between the experience of Noah and Latter day Saints.

1. Noah had been warned of the Lord that a flood would covet the Earth. Latter-day Saints have been warned of a desolating scourge to cover the land.
2. Noah was given instructions on how to build an ark to protect his family physically and spiritually. Modern prophets, including @NelsonRussellM have given us clear instructions on how to keep our family safe through food storage and home centered gospel learning.
3. Noah was gathered safely with only his family in the ark for over a year. Latter-day Saints have been confined to their homes with only family for an extended period of time.
4. The waters of the flood eventually receeded. @NelsonRussellM has repeatedly declared that the restrictions due to #COVID19 are only temporary.
5. Many people didn't heed the warnings of Noah and were destroyed physically and spiritually in the flood. Latter-day Saints will die from this virus, but more importantly those that didn't heed the direction of @NelsonRussellM will perish spiritually.
6. The people in Noah' s day didn't take his warnings of a flood seriously. He was mocked and ridiculed. Some Latter-day Saints have downplayed the seriousness of the virus and the impact it has had and will have on our health, economy, and personal safety.
7. Noah's people spent their time in wickedness and thought their marriages to the daughters of God made them righteous. Many Saints are content with wickedness and they think that mere membership in the Lord's Church will be enough to save them.
8. The time that Noah spent alone with his family in the ark prepared him and his children for the future trials that would come. This quarantine allows us to evaluate our spirituality and allows us to have experiences to prepare us for the trials that are coming.
