So I felt the need to recase my #Amiga600. Have not used it too much since I bought it from a dear friend, so it spend much time in a drawer. And thus, it yellowed. And that was too much for me to look at. Here is the case it was in originally. The yellowing looks mild, but wait.
It also had a switch for the ACA630 inside. There was another one in here originally, but i changed it. But I didn't like cases with drilled holes. So that was another reason to go for a new one.
The cheapest I found online was this. Boy, was it dirty and pretty darn yellowed. But other than that, it was complete and had not been tinkered with. Got it and bleached the living daylights out of it as well as the keyboard of my Amiga.
And here it is now. Compare that to the former case above and you can see the discoloration that drove me nuts. I love this!
And before I put the turbo card back in, I'm looking for a switch that fits this floppy eject button here. No drilling! In the long run, I'll go for a Vampire and retire my DOS PC, as this 600 has a way smaller footprint. Emulating a PC on an Amiga serves them x86es right!
