Are these disingenuous comments made to an Oireachtas Committee due to lack of understanding or are they intended to mislead?

This is a failure in policy over 8 yrs.
A failure to recognise that the skills, training & expertise of”new entrant” senior clinicians are equivalent to their longer appointed colleagues.
Leaving us with unfilled posts, in a system that already had too few consultant specialists

This system fails the public, it fails our patients and it leaves our doctors demoralised.
In what way are « senior » clinicians expected to manage this?
We need to:
-Correct pay disparity.
-Fill vacant posts
-Invest in better service
-Listen to clinicians- we have solutions.
