1). Familiarise yourself with the rules and how the scoring works. There are several nuances regarding the bench and captaincy which we’ll cover later and knowing how the scoring system works will help maximise your gameweek scores!

2). Max out on the old firm!
These teams are a class above the rest of the league; last season:
Over 50% clean sheet rate
Over 2.5 goals scored per game
Owning 3 Celtic & 3 Rangers is a MUST. With budget tight, it looks like defence could be the way to go!

3). Make sure your old firm players are NAILED on starters. They are likely to score buckets of points every week, so being caught out by rotation could cost you.
Players like Christie and Griffiths are explosive but are also rotation prone so may not be optimal value picks

4). CAPTAINCY is key as always!
Make sure you select a dependable captain option.
Vice Capt also receives double points in #FFScotland on clean sheets (for GK/DEF) or goals scored (for MID/FWD) - so make sure to update this every week!

5). The budget is tight and managing this will be key. The cheapest option in each position is as follows:
GK - £1.8m
DEF - £2.0m
MID - £2.3m
FWD - £3.3m
For this reason, I’ve found it really difficult to make a squad without 3 premium strikers.

6). Use your bench!
The rules for subs are that you will get your highest scoring sub auto subbed in if one of your outfielders doesn’t play (and it doesn’t breach the formation rules).

7). This has meant I’m currently planning to field 2 non-playing midfielders in Barlow and Henderson every week in order to ensure I get the maximum points possible out of my 3 benched midfielder rotation!

8). Use your weekly transfer to attack the fixtures! My plan:
SET & FORGET on the Old Firm

Use transfers to target mid table teams like Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee Utd, Motherwell when they’re in form!
