Per my last retweets, because Meg is being cast as “masculine”, it makes it even worse. It doesn’t help that the man in question is very short (and likely why he relied on his gun to show dominance). People can’t fathom her being a “real” victim
As a large woman who has been emotionally abused by smaller men, I’m telling you... IM TELLING YOU... many of us have endured a particular type of violence just because we dare to be the same size as “men”
I’ve also faced physical violence by men larger than me and a lot of it had to do with being the size I am, being outspoken, and being read as “equal”.

The things many people are saying about how we deserve it just bc of our size is so hurtful
Knowing that Meg would have more empathy if she was smaller and lighter-skinned hurts man. It really does.
And when it comes to DV, particularly for BW, it’s always a “fight”. Never victim, just “well she provoked him” or “she hit him too” or some other bs both sides nonsense.
