the world isn't going to end because the fandom has some toxicity in it.
the world isn't going to end because the fandom has some toxicity in it.
to a lot of people, it feels like the tss fandom is crumbling right now, right? i know a lot of people are upset and saying that they want to leave the fandom.
and i know a lot of people are thinking, "how could there be toxic fanders? we're supposed to be the nice ones!"
and i know a lot of people are thinking, "how could there be toxic fanders? we're supposed to be the nice ones!"
but that's exactly the problem.
pretending like there is no toxicity and repressing the mere thought of it WILL cause the fandom to crumble.
we HAVE to deal with it as it comes. we can't pretend it isn't there.
there is not a single fandom that doesn't come with toxicity.

that's not a shocking fact. or, at least, it shouldn't be. the fandom is gonna have toxic people, like it or not.
the way people are behaving towards it right now is making it worse. overlooking it. having a meltdown when a little bit of drama bubbles up. saying that this is the "most toxic fandom".
why don't we just deal with the issues? why don't we just fix what we can, WHILE we can?

i probably didn't need to make this as long as i did, but i wanted to express my thoughts on the state of the fandom.
we're not gonna crash and burn the moment something goes wrong.
this is a family. WE'RE a family. we need to act like one.
