With everything going on in California (and the USA) lately, I’m tempted to share all-things-MacArthur right now.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Pastor John very much. In fact, pretty sure people have unfollowed me because they got tired of all my JMac quotes...

But what’s going on right now is about more than John MacArthur.

In fact, it’s way bigger than him.

This is about a paradigm shift in culture and, I believe, in the church.

The stand that John & GCC elders took was bold, unflinching, and righteous. Frankly, he said what so many believers have been thinking.

As well, I believe the zealous (at times, combative) response is due to the growing frustration that many have had these last few years.

Christians have been wanting leaders to take a stand for Christ and for His church.

As Doug Wilson recently wrote, “We need fathers.” I would add, and not ‘cool uncles.’

And so, Christian leaders, stand up for Christ, lead well, speak clearly and boldly, and you will not stand alone.

Soli Deo Gloria!
