The stand that John & GCC elders took was bold, unflinching, and righteous. Frankly, he said what so many believers have been thinking.
As well, I believe the zealous (at times, combative) response is due to the growing frustration that many have had these last few years.

Christians have been wanting leaders to take a stand for Christ and for His church.
As Doug Wilson recently wrote, “We need fathers.” I would add, and not ‘cool uncles.’
