Let’s talk about the Romani in #JaneAusten’s ‘Emma.’
There is an incident in the novel that involves racial slurs. When we discuss this novel we can easily discuss the Romani, or group of people Austen says were part of the incident with Harriet, without using a slur.

I’ve included a small sample guideline to pass on to book clubs or include in discussions, but I do hope to expand all of this (including resources and reading) soon. There’s so much more to write about and unpack that won’t fit on social media cards or character limits.
