Thinking tonight of those currently in psychological therapies who are having appts via phone or video call instead of face to face. I’d absolutely hate it. It just wouldn’t work. And I just hope people aren’t being pressured in to phone or video calls if they struggle with that.
When I had therapy yrs ago, there were a couple of times I couldn’t attend (bcs it wasn’t safe to leave my home as I’d just cut contact with abuser & rest of family) but therapist phoned instead. I was grateful but I didn’t realise at the time that this would “count” as an appt.
So I can’t help but think that there are people out there right now who are being forced to cope with phone or video appointments. I really hope not. They don’t get enough therapy sessions as it is. They deserve proper sessions. I know times are tough, but..
