🐻Keep Buying Allen Robinson🐻

We’re back on player threads, and this one will dive deep into the reasons you can TRUST Allen Robinson heading into this season, especially if shiny new toy Nick Foles is under center. Let’s dig in!
After having the worst QBs one could have for a career (dating back to college —>Hackenberg-McGloin-Bortles-Trubisky....oof) & STILL balling, ARob’s been undervalued his whole career. Foles isn’t flashy, but let me show you why it’s still a HUGE upgrade for ARob specifically
First: the QB Comparison

If we use Foles’ 2018 numbers in Philadelphia vs. Trubisky’s 2020, it’s a clear upgrade. Even in Foles’ brief stint w/ JAX last year (w/ no clear weapons), his numbers were still slightly above Mitch. More importantly, though, is WHERE each QB is best
By separating each QB’s stats into depth + location of throw, you can see Foles excels greatly across all short areas (w/ some deep dimes), while Trubisky was poor-to-average all over the field

This is obviously good for everyone in Chicago, but especially where Robinson lives⬇️
The following chart is how Chicago fared in 2019 with Trubisky under center, as well as each player earning at least 15% market share of that pass direction. The highest performer in each category is highlighted...notice anything?
Allen Robinson has already proven himself as the alpha in Chicago and the ultimate go-to on 3rd/4th down, and I expect these numbers to only improve in 2020
Both @FantasyPts & @MikeClayNFL have Robinson projected in the top five in rec and tgts, respectively, in 2020- yet his ADP is still outside the top 10 WR. With volume already established AND a higher quality of them coming in, ARob is a perfect WR1 after starting with a RB or 2.
Using @DLFootball’s dynasty ADP tracker, we can see his value finally starting to catch up to the true WR1/2 caliber guys. At only 26 years old, I think his best football is still ahead of him, and would honestly prefer him to Amari Cooper in dynasty with Lamb/Gallup in Dallas
I hope you enjoyed this deep dive and I’m looking forward to getting back into a regular routine again soon!
