Having a protected route around the Garden is great, but also this crosswalk has been shortened by 20’. Couple that with a curb extension on the other side and you’d shorted this crossing by 26’, which is about the average width of a residential Boston street.
This slip lane is maybe 8’ narrower than it used to be. Seems to be working just fine!
Don’t mind if I do.
This slip lane is flat out close. Huge reduction in risk for pedestrians
There’s some awkward connections with this first set of Healthy Streets, but overall it shows the HUGE potential for better waking and bike conditions around the common and the garden. Kudos to @BostonBTD for getting it done. Hoping we can make it all permanent one day
Yo. I heard you like curb extensions. So we put and extension on your extension
